Every year on October 10th, the world comes together to celebrate World Mental Health Day. One of the key focuses of this day is the importance of making mental health care accessible and affordable for everyone. To mark this significant day in the mental health and wellbeing calendar, we have a range of exciting events planned throughout October and beyond.
Hitting the Road with Information and Support:
Throughout the week leading up to World Mental Health Day, we’ll be visiting Mid Warwickshire Colleges in Leamington, Evesham, and Pershore. Our outreach days will be a chance for students to connect with our team, learn about our services, and grab some free resources.
Gaming for GAMME: Celebrating Neurodiversity
We’re thrilled to announce a special event on October 10th in partnership with Playground Games, a leading video game developer. This event celebrates neurodiversity and the positive impact of gaming. We’ll have fun activities, talks from SWWMind and Playground Games staff, and a delicious pizzas and refreshments a number of young people who are currently using our services. We’re particularly grateful to Playground Games for funding this event and showing their support for our GAMME programme, which focuses on mental health support for children and young people in Warwick. Get Moving for Mental Health with Les Mills
Calling all fitness enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 17th, for an epic Les Mills fitness extravaganza at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre. Join special guest, Les Mills global ambassador Anthony Oxford, for four energising classes – Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Balance, and more! All proceeds from this event go directly to SWWMind. Gig and Giggle for a Cause
Looking for a night out with a difference? Join us on Thursday, November 7th, for Gig & Giggle at hmv Empire! This collaboration with CWMind and hmv Empire promises an evening of laughter, music, and poetry that will leave you feeling fantastic.
