Exploring Mental Health Support Services in Worcestershire

Our charity exists to help support people towards better mental health and wellbeing. Our service across Worcestershire services the whole county, including Worcester, Redditch, Kidderminster, Droitwich, Evesham, Bromsgrove, Stourport & Pershore.

Across the county, we deliver Worcestershire Safe Haven, a twilight service offering telephone support and also face to face appointments. We also offer a peer and individual mental health support for individuals suffering with poor mental health.

Worcestershire Safe Haven

Worcestershire Safe Haven operates a mental wellbeing service between the hours of 6pm – 1am and is based in the Redditch town centre. We provide telephone support as well as face-to-face appointments to Worcestershire AND Herefordshire residents who feel they are experiencing ill mental health or a mental health crisis. Offering a listening ear, support and guidance towards accessing other services, we help you by holding your hand towards better mental wellbeing. 

The aim is to provide anyone who uses our service with practical tools and strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

Mental Health Link Worker Support & Peer Support Groups

Led by a qualified mental health link worker, we facilitate a number of 10-week peer support groups across Worcestershire. These groups are designed to enable you to share your experiences, and listen to those of others, in a safe and confidential setting.

Our current groups are:

REDDITCH: Tuesdays, 1.30pm – 3.30pm

REDDITCH: Wednesday, 10am – 12 midday (time TBC)

EVESHAM: Wednesday, 2pm – 4pm.

Active Monitoring

Active Monitoring, also known as supported self help, is offered by South Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind in Evesham Vale, Broadway, Inkberrow and Bredon surgeries. This is a proactive and supportive service designed to assist individuals in managing their mental health. Benefit from regular check-ins with an experienced practitioner who provides guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies to promote mental well-being. 

Supported self help helps to identify early signs of distress, thus providing interventions at the right time to prevent mental health issues from escalating. This service acts as a valuable resource, offering individuals a confidential space to discuss their concerns, explore coping mechanisms, and develop personalised strategies to enhance their mental wellbeing.
