Exploring Mental Health Support Services in Worcestershire

Our charity exists to help support people towards better mental health and wellbeing. Our service across Worcestershire services the whole county, including Worcester, Redditch, Kidderminster, Droitwich, Evesham, Bromsgrove, Stourport & Alvechurch.

We run a 24 hour crisis line every day of the year, and also a twilight service, Worcestershire Safe Haven, offering telephone and face to face appointments in Redditch.

24 Hour Crisis Line – Worcestershire

This service aims to help people towards better mental health before their condition deteriorates further into a more serious condition. It’s a service that’s available for all residents in Worcestershire and is free to call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Worcestershire Safe Haven

Running alongside our crisis line, Worcestershire Safe Haven operates a mental wellbeing service between the hours of 6pm – 1am and are based in the Redditch town centre. We provide telephone support as well as face-to-face appointments to Worcestershire AND Herefordshire residents who feel they are experiencing ill mental health or a mental health crisis. Offering a listening ear, support and guidance towards accessing other services, we help you by holding your hand towards better mental wellbeing. 

The aim is to provide anyone who uses our service with practical tools and strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

Peer Support Groups

Share your experiences in a safe and confidential group setting. Led by one of our trained Mental Health Link Workers, we currently have groups running in the following locations:

BROMSGROVE: Mondays, 2pm – 4pm

KIDDERMINSTER: Tuesdays, 10am – 12 midday

REDDITCH: Tuesdays, 1.30pm – 3.30pm

REDDITCH: Wednesday, 10am – 12 midday (time TBC)

EVESHAM: Wednesday, 2pm – 4pm

EVESHAM: Thursdays, 2pm – 4pm

Supported Self Help

Supported self help, also known as active monitoring, offered by South Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind in Evesham Vale, Broadway, Inkberrow and Bredon surgeries, is a proactive and supportive service designed to assist individuals in managing their mental health. Benefit from regular check-ins with an experienced practitioner who provides guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies to promote mental well-being. 

Supported self help helps to identify early signs of distress, thus providing interventions at the right time to prevent mental health issues from escalating. This service acts as a valuable resource, offering individuals a confidential space to discuss their concerns, explore coping mechanisms, and develop personalised strategies to enhance their mental wellbeing.
